Sherri McMillion, P.E., CEM, ASQ LSS Blackbelt, is the Engineering Criteria and Programs Director at Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) in Norfolk, VA. She is the Navy representative on the DoD Tri-Service, Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) Coordinating Panel, overseeing the UFC program.
McMillion has 35 years of experience in facilities design and construction with NAVFAC, the Air Force, and DoD. She is a past chair of the NIBS Whole Building Design Guide (WBDG) Committee (2013-2022). Prior to her current position, she served as the Navy criteria member for the Tri-Service Specifications working group, led process improvement and design teams at NAVFAC, designed facility and utility electrical systems for NAVFAC and the Air Force, and developed DoD energy policy.
She is a licensed Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia in Electrical Engineering, an Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) Certified Energy Manager, and an American Society of Quality (ASQ) Certified Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt. McMillion has a Master’s Degree in Engineering Administration from Virginia Tech and an Electrical and Electronics Engineering Bachelor’s Degree from North Dakota State University.
