Meghan is a licensed architect and subject matter expert in buildings, energy, environmental justice, housing, and resilience as they intersect with real estate finance and public policy. Meghan has held academic positions at the University of Michigan, Catholic University, Howard University, and Auburn University and is the founder of Axis Mundi, a 501c3 educational, design-build nonprofit organization working in Washington, DC, and Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. She has published papers on architecture, building performance, and housing affordability in her private practice. She holds degrees in Fine Arts, Architecture, and Real Estate Finance from the University of Massachusetts, the University of Michigan, and Georgetown University, respectively, and a Public Policy certificate from the University of Pennsylvania - Penn Wharton Budget Model. Meghan’s current work at the USDA serves myriad interagency groups focused on improving the quality of rural housing, communities, and infrastructure.
