Maria Lehman, PE, NAE, NAC, ASCE 2023 President, ENV SP, F.ASCE is GHD’s US Infrastructure Market Leader, a Principal, Shareholder, and Board member and serves on the company’s U.S. Board of Directors. She has over 40 years of diverse, increasingly responsible, multi-disciplinary technical and leadership experience, both in the private and public sectors, and in traditional and alternative delivery. She received her BS in Civil Engineering from the University at Buffalo, Magna Cum Laude, and is certified in Board Governance by the Wharton School of Executive Management. Maria was the 2023 worldwide President of the ASCE, with over 167,000 members in 177 countries. She was appointed as the Vice Chair of President Biden’s National Infrastructure Advisory Council in 2022 and has won numerous including the ASCE President’s Medal. In 2022, Maria was inducted into the National Academy of Construction and in 2025 to the National Academy of Engineering.
