Dr. Kent Yu is a Principal with SEFT Consulting Group. He has more than 25 years of structural, earthquake, and tsunami engineering experience. A nationally recognized resilience expert, Dr. Yu has led or contributed to over 30 resilience plans to improve continuity of healthcare facilities, government facilities, schools, water systems, wastewater systems, and electric power grids in the Pacific Northwest in response to a variety of hazards, including earthquake and tsunami. He is a Past Chair of the ASCE Infrastructure Resilience Division and currently serves as Chair of the NIBS Building Seismic Safety Council to enhance public safety and functional recovery of the built environment.
