Jim Schneider, LEED, AP, is Executive Director of the PCI Mountain States chapter, which covers Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming. Schneider has been working with architects, engineers and building professionals for nearly two decades. As a regional executive director, he works with PCI members, architects, designers, building owners, and educators in assisting with project planning. He has been the manager, external communications in the marketing department at the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) and was editor of PCI’s Ascent magazine.
He also has been the editor of several business publications, including Eco-Structure, Plumbing Engineer, PHC News, and Metalmag. He currently is a regular contributor to several national and regional industry publications, including Retrofit, Retrofit Home, Ascent and Colorado Design & Construction. Schneider holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay. He is a LEED AP and is passionate about efficient, sustainable design.
