Ariane Laxo is Director of Sustainability at HGA Architects & Engineers, leading planning and design work in decarbonization, resilience, and design for healthy communities. Since 2014, she has been working to incorporate climate projection data into practice at her firm and advocating for advancement in the AE sector standard of care to better prepare clients and ecosystems for the impacts of climate change. She works at the building and campus scale to integrate climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies into higher education, corporate, government, healthcare, and cultural projects. Ariane has served on the AIA Resilience & Adaptation Advisory Group, USGBC LEED Resilience Working Group, and on the advisory board of the University of Minnesota Climate Adaptation Partnership.
