Brandon Meinert serves as a Senior Research Engineer for the U.S. Army Engineer Research & Development Center, Information Technology Laboratory, CAD/BIM Technology Center (TCx).
As an interdisciplinary research engineer and technical specialist for the organization and Department of Defense, Meinert is responsible for leading and supporting the use of advanced modeling (BIM/CIM/CAD/GIS/CAFM) technology throughout the project lifecycle, training and mentoring staff, researching and developing emerging technologies, and providing technical support to stakeholders. Additional duties include serving as an ERDC Liaison Officer to the USACE Construction Management Innovation Office.
In addition to his 17 years of experience working with USACE, Meinert also has served on several industry committees over the years, including the NIBS Digital Technology Council & Digital Twin Subcommittee, NIBS BIM Standard Committee, NIBS Facility Management & Operations Council (Vice Chair), NIBS CAD Standard Project Committee, USACE/Industry BIM & CIM Consortia, AGC of Missouri’s Design & Construction Technology Conference Committee, Society of American Military Engineers, and the St. Louis Council of Construction Consumer’s Technology and Training & Education Committees (Chair).
Meinert’s current goal is seeking out ways to better align how the public and private sectors utilize emerging geospatial and construction technologies to improve project delivery methods for federal projects.
